Special Concert Event June 2014

I was part a wonderful concert event during June by the Healing Wave Trio which took place in a beautiful church in Littleton, Massachusetts.
Healing Music Concert performed by the Healing Wave Trio, featuring Bernadette Yao (voice, guitar), Deanna Johnson (flute), Rebecca Swett (harp) at the Congregational Church of Littleton, MA. During one of the songs I offered to add Qi Gong and Tai Chi movements to the words and music. First I added a short introduction to the movements and then the audience joined the trio to "move to the music". Here is the Introductory Part I

“Magnificence” Part 1, Movement, Healing Wave Trio

Part 1: Carol Swerzenski, Qi Gong and Tai Chi instructor taught everyone energy movements that she choreographed to the song “Magnificence” music and lyrics by Deva Premal and Miten. Look for Magnificence, Part 2, Movement, Healing Wave Trio: to see the movement with the music for energy healing. Special Class Events November 2014

part2-littletonSeveral special class sessions were scheduled in the Fall. Music and Movement was used to Lighten the Body and Brighten the Soul. . We discovered elegantly simple ways to move to the music and chants of Bernadetted Yao.  Participants opened to the sounds of voices chanting and the music of delicate instruments. We "moved" to connections of our deeper self. This collaborative effort is a new experience for my students. Retreat Leader /Movement:Carol Swerzenski   Qi Gong and Tai Chi Teacher / Stress Transformation Practitioner www.transformativepractices.org Sound Music Leader / Sound: Bernadette Yao  Mind Body Music Therapist  / Energy Healing Practitioner http://www.bernadetteyao.com/ This special class session was held at the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden 145 Bolton Road Harvard, MA 01451.

When are classes usually scheduled?

Transformative Practices Group holds classes, workshops and events throughput the year.

There is usually a break during June, July and most of August to accommodate participant holiday and vacation plans. Full class schedules begin at all locations in the Fall with an Early Fall and Late Fall series.

Fall Series (September / October)
Fall series starts mid September continuing for six weeks through October with enrollments starting late August and early September.

Late Fall Series (November / December)
November series has a registration period during late October with classes starting in November through the early part of December.

We usually schedule a winter break for the holidays and the first part of the new year.
(mid-December through January no classes scheduled)

Winter series (February / March)
Winter classes usually begin again early February. Classes continue February and March. Depending on travel and instructor training schedules there is sometimes time for a Spring Series and early summer series in May and June

Spring series (April or May)
Spring classes continue in April and May and there is sometimes an opportunity for a May June series.

Summer Events
We have the usual summer break for June July to accommodate vacation plans but during late summer (usually during August) we plan several special events such as an "Appreciation Event" where we offer a free outdoor session to our current class participants. In past years this event has taken place in Princeton Massachusetts at the Audubon Sanctuary.

Past Event Summer 2013: Two sessions took place at the Wachusett Meadow. There was an introduction to Qi Gong and Tai Chi movement. Current students were encouraged to bring a friend or relative to join the practice. Carol provides these periodic free demonstration classes and "appreciation events" for her large group of regular participants. These events are also for new students to experience some of the simple movements that make up Qi Gong and Tai Chi.
